"everybody who is somebody has a blog."... This was said by my lovely sister Kelly who is quite the avid blogger so in my quest to be somebody I decided to hop on this blogging bandwagon and see what the hype is all about!...ok not exactly but it got you interested didn't it?!
Really this blog is as much for me as it is for anybody else...this sounds selfish but let me explain. Have you ever been driving and you get to your desired destination and you have that moment where you're like "wait a minute how the heck did I get here?!" Well sometimes I feel like that is how my life is. It's like I can remember the big milestones: my 16th birthday, high school graduation, going off to college, traveling to China and so on and so for but the random thoughts I have or the awesome everyday conversations I share with family and friends are soon to be forgotten. So why not write them all down so that weeks, months, and years from now I can look back and have these written reminders of how blessed my journey has been and the lessons I've learned along the way...and if my random ramblings benefit someone or even makes you giggle along the way then so be it!
Oh and as the title implies this blog really has no theme! I'm not planning a wedding, starting my life as a married woman, or having a baby...this is pretty much just a journal in website form so enjoy!
Holy Mac! This I feel like this is a super long post but now that you know why I'm doing this whole blog thing I guess I should tell you just a little about myself.
1. I just graduated from Anderson University in May with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. There were times when I thought I'd never see the light at the end of the tunnel that is nursing school but looking back I would do it all over again. I'm truly grateful for the skills I learned and the amazing friendships I formed along the way!
2. I've been working on a high risk OB/ postpartum floor since June and so far I'm really liking it. The other nurses are really great, not to mention extremely willing to help the new grad nurse. Plus everyday I go to work I feel like I am able to my mental a spiritual gifts to use and shouldn't that be what a job is all about?!
3. Sarcasm is like breathing for me and I've been told before that I don't have a filter meaning I don't always think things through before I speak or in this case blog. So yeah just a warning.
4. I have 2 pretty awesome sisters! Not to say that we were BFFs fresh outta the womb or that we didn't have our fair share of hair pulling scream fests (mostly over clothes) growing up. But now they're 2 of my closest friends which is pretty great for us and a welcome change for our parents as well.
5. Forget tall, dark, and handsome! Give me geeky, awkward, and well ok maybe don't forget handsome...I'll take a Seth Cohen over a Ryan Atwood any day haha!
Ok well I think this blog has gone on long enough and if I go on anymore I might just not have anything to write about in the next few posts-which would pretty much make this whole blog defunct so goodnight for now!
